Plan a short week on the island before the wedding in order to prepare everything to be sure your marriage will be legal. • Your passport. Applications for marriage are made through the local lawyer with the Attorney General, who issues the marriage license after the couple has resided in the country two days. The Attorney General must receive the application approximately four working days before the date of the ceremony. For administrative procedures you must count $ 402.50 EC for notary fees and official act of marriage, $100 EC for registration fees and $ 8 EC for the marriage certificate. To get married in a church For a wedding in the Catholic Church, your local priest must contact a priest on the island to ensure that you have taken all necessary steps to be allowed to get married in a Catholic Church.
