Located in an old 70's building, URBN Hotel Shanghai was the first in China to defend the label CARBON ZERO.

Its design uses natural materials, recycling, or only from China. It is equipped with a system of air conditioning water, solar panels and pools of water recovery.

The URBN Hotel Shanghai plans to neutralize its carbon footprint by tracking its energy consumption to calculate emissions of CO2. This is offset by investing in green projects promoting the reduction of CO2 emissions in China.

The carbon neutrality is a way to offset or reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere by focusing on optimizing the energy, gas capture and electricity generation, and also the employment of natural energy sources such as wind, solar, bio fuel and hydroelectric power.
