Valentine is now a day off in Peru

Day of love to encourage tourism

In Peru, February 14th, Valentine's day is now a day off. Governement hopes that this will encourage business and tourism in the country.

The "day of love" or "day of friendship ", will then be part of the 2012 days off list in use in the public function.

The decree signed by the president Ollanta Humala emphasizes on "the need to increase tourism and hospitality business" and "to establish more long week-ends".
