We met Maria Laraqui, General Manager at Tigmiza, who told us about her family, her hotel, and her love for travel. Tigmiza Suites and Pavilions: A Family Affair Family is at the heart of this former guest house, now a charming boutique hotel hidden in Marrakesh's Palmeraie. "The whole family was involved in the creation of Tigmiza! Papa came up with the concept. Mama, an artist, and my sister, a designer, took care of the decorations. My husband and brother-in-law made all of the linens of the house."
The family spirit behind Tigmiza is one of its best assets. Smiling, Maria told us: "One of our guests goes straight to the kitchen to order his favorite meal as soon as he arrives." Guests find it easy to get this comfortable at Tigmiza Suites & Pavillons. Tigmiza is a hotel where services are personalized and sincere. It has all the characteristics of a veritable boutique hotel. Maria describes these as " a hotel with less than 100 rooms, situated in an urban area, with a trendy concept focused around the details. A gem!" A Quiet and Refined Boutique Hotel Maria Laraqui describes her hotel as "quiet, refined, and friendly luxury." As General Manager, she is in charge of daily tasks such as managing the staff and the property, as well as greeting clients. Her favorite part of the job is "the daily contact with clients of course, but also the diversity of the tasks." She is proud of her involvement in the Tigmiza project, having been able to witness its success from the beginning.
When asked to name her favorite suite, she hesitates and then says, "Black and Gold. It is very baroque with a lot of gilt." She is also partial to the Art Deco for its ambiance and the Chinoise because it is "sparkly and sensual".
At the word "travel"
alone, Maria becomes animated! "I love to travel," she said. Her favourite hotels? Unable to choose just one, she tells us she would choose an hotel by the sea: "To relax I would choose a charming seaside hotel. For a family trip, I love luxury resorts!" Discover Tigmiza Suites & Pavilions afficher
