1987: Fort Bahla Oasis Bahia owes its prosperity to the Banu Nabhan, which dominated the area from the twelfth century until the end of the fifteenth. Their power is attested by the ruins of the immense fort, with walls and towers of unbaked brick and stone foundation, an outstanding example of this type of fortification.
