An hotel design and spa, a real gem

Le Domaine de Verchant, constructed on the ruins of a building of the fourteenth century, inspired by the folies of Montpellier, these elegant country houses of the seventeenth richly decorated. The lighthearted owners, Chantal and Pierre Mestre, had the project to made an intimate, luxurious hotel and to revitalize the wine business. Their design dream came true thanks to the talent of the designer Raymond Morel.

The reception area is brushed in aluminum and framed by a row of pink and orange armchairs signed by Ron Arad under a vaulted ceiling ... Right away high expectations are set: the charm of the unusual, the elegance of design and the patina of age.
The signatures of the finest contemporary designers, Poltrona, Jacobsen, Moroso, Casa Milano and also Nanimarquina were chosen to decorate the 22 suites and apartments without transforming the hotel into an art gallery. Le Domaine de Verchant is above all a comfortable hotel, a small "home" where dinners are eaten in the high-design kitchen that opens to the outdoor pool.

The rooms are all different and they are made of comfort and innovation: TVs embedded in the wall facing the bath tub, computer art, heated mirrors and floors, whirlpool bathtubs by Starck, ceiling rain in the bathroom and a home automation system.
We recommend a Deluxe Soom with terrace to enjoy the view of the vineyards. Why not consider the Suite Danae with its ceiling rain? The Suite Neige d'avril is especially dedicated to lovers with its round bed and double bath with hydro massage. Simply superb!

Tempting Experience: epicurean getaway in the heart of a vineyard

Surrounding the Castle, the vineyard Verchant, which is sixty thousand feet of grapes on an area of 17 hectares, is visible from the various suites and hotel terraces. Bordeaux grape varieties Syrah, Grenache, Petit Verdot and traditional whites Roussanne and Vermentino and tastings of vintages are made throughout the year.

Services and Activities

The restaurant Le Verchant  welcomes you every day by the pool, for lunch or dinner with friends or family in a warm and contemporary environment, just like the rest of the hotel. The menu with Mediterranean accents was specially created by Jacques and Laurent Pourcel.

The Spa at Le Domaine de Verchant is a private club of 750 m, a gem of design that combines care, fitness, wellness and relaxation. Large glass window offers breathtaking views over the gardens and vineyards. Designs in different spaces: a hotel lobby to have tea or a drink, a sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, indoor pool equipped with the capacity to swim against the current, experience shower, a rain shower, rooms with rituals and wraps, but also a gym fully equipped "Technogym" and "Power plate". The treatment menu was developed exclusively with Anne Semonin products based on the benefits of essential oils and trace elements and products Valmont, heir to the medical tradition of Switzerland.

Throughout the area, old vines and recently planted ones are alongside each other. The vineyard can be visited on request and the wines produced are sold in the property field.

Montpellier
