Konfidentiel Paris

Paris, France

A boutique hotel with historic charm

The boutique Hotel Paris Konfidentiel shelters within its walls both small and great history. It's located in a fifteenth century building in the heart of Paris 1st arrondissement on rue de l'Arbre Sec, which has seen many famous people: Queen Blanche owned a country house there, Molière was born a few meters away and François Villon wrote his verses here ... It's natural that the history of France was chosen as the theme of the hotel and it elegantly comes to life on all of the 6 floors of the hotel. From the cellar-restaurant in the attic duplex suite, each room leads visitors into a particular era of France, from Louis XIV, to the building of the Eiffel Tower to Marie Antoinette.
The Konfidentiel Paris is a charming location for those seeking originality and tranquility just steps from the Louvre and the Rue St Honore, for a weekend or an exclusive holiday for two.

Custom rooms: 6 floors, 6 bedrooms, 6 atmospheres

The Kazi brothers, owners of Konfidentiel Paris chose designer Robert Clévier to emphasize Parisian personality and architecture of this narrow historic building. Surprises await you as breaking the codes is the motif from the restaurant to the 6 rooms, one per floor! Aesthetic codes of the eighteenth century were revisited to tell the history of France in an original and modern setting. The beautifully printed walls of every room set the tone: purple for those who chose the feminine Marie Antoinette suite, blue represents the royal genealogy in the kings of France suite, red in the Molière theater suite, etc.. The lacquer furniture, console and seat medallion are tailor-made such as all the lights.

We recommend the duplex suite dedicated to the work of Gustave Eiffel. On the top floor, accessible by a wrought iron staircase, is a suite in the attic where the charming and sophisticated beige and white turn into warm and chic.

In the restaurant the past and present also collide. The structure features centennial vaulted ceiling and stone walls and the old cellar that was once a notorious tavern in the city has been retained. The contemporary furniture has an antique feel and false light strings give this new restaurant a Parisian subtlety.

A unique place, a unique atmosphere: the musical design is signed by Anthony Marshall who has composed an eclectic musical atmosphere especially for the Konfidentiel Paris.

Tempting experience: a chic restaurant and menu!

A boutique hotel with a restaurant in the heart of Paris is a rare commodity especially when the cuisine is remarkable.
Don't ask for the menu! In the kitchen chef Denis Davidoff, formerly of Pierre Gagnaire and Ferran Adria, develops a daily menu according to the market and his imagination. Creativity, accuracy and taste are assured so sit back and relax, the experience promises to be mysterious!

Services and activities

Built on the site of the Caveau Francois Villon, gourmet Parisian institution have now disappeared but the restaurant Konfidentiel Paris offers a lunch and dinner menu prepared by the Chef Denis Davidoff. A terrace is open on sunny days.

Paris, the Louvre

If the Louvre could talk ... what history of Paris would its walls tell!
The castle, built by Philip Augustus in 1190, was not a royal residence but an arsenal to protect the city against the Anglo-Norman. Charles V, in 1364, made it his residence and then Francis in 1527, brought the royal edifice in the Renaissance. The lack of interest in the castle shown by King Louis XIV after the construction of the Versailles palace plunged the Louvre into a new period of sleep.
In 1793, the Museum opened to the public the Grande Galerie and the Salon Carré. Year after year, the collections expand. 1882, marks the birth of the modern Louvre: the authorities left the Louvre, making it so that the castle could devote itself mainly to culture. In 1981, the President of the Republic, François Mitterrand, announced the project "Grand Louvre", which would result in a complete redesign of the Museum. The Chinese-American architect, Ieoh Ming Pei was appointed to modernize the Louvre and glass pyramid which was opened in 1989.
The Louvre Museum is the largest (in size) museum in Paris and the most visited museum in the world. It now houses a variety of works dating from antiquity to 20th century paintings, sculptures, ceramics, archaeological objects, etc.. Among the most famous pieces are the Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.
