Each of the 29 spacious villas is roofed with palapa thatching which provides a stunning contrast to the villa's sleek and modern interiors. Every villa has its private pool, outdoor Jacuzzi and terrace and its own view: you can allow your mind to escape with the ocean; enjoy the privacy of the scenic gardens; or benefit from a more secluded location within dense pine groves and tropical forest.

The casitas all have private hammocks so you can indulge in a Mexican siesta with the soothing sounds of the forest and the lullaby of the Pacific Ocean.

The course is ranked second in the country according to Mexico's Best Golf courses guide and is nestled in an 825 hectare natural reserve. Services and activities

Whilst your children enjoy the multitude of activities and services offered by the Kid World (from the 5th to the 19th of April and from the 1st of July to the 1st of September 2009) you'll be able to sunbathe in peace at the private beach, the pool, or in the privacy of your suite's individual plunge pool.

Alternatively, choose to discover the surrounding nature - all the required equipment is made available by the resort: simple or double kayaks, windsurfing gear, diving masks, snorkels and fins, mountain bikes...

There are numerous potential activities: tennis, yoga (seasonal), fitness-centre, pilates, water-skiing, bird-watching, fishing, motor boating...

You can also take advantage of El Tamarindo's guided tours of the picturesque Tenacatita bay. At Costa Careyes, (45 mins away), you can practice horse-riding, deep-sea fishing, bird or whale-watching (Dec till early May). If you choose to stay at El Tamarindo Golf and Beach Resort between November and January you may even see sea-turtles laying their eggs on the beach. 

Whatever you do, however, do not miss the Tamarindo's spa and at its indigenous Temazcal ("sweat lodge") where one connects with the spirits of water, plants, air and fire (Tuesdays and Saturdays - reservation needed).
