Lan Kwai Fong Hotel

Hong Kong, Hong Kong

An intimate hotel and strategic address in Hong Kong

The Lan Kwai Fong hotel is a boutique hotel by excellence; styled with a hip and modern Chinese atmosphere and boasting a personalized and caring service, the hotel is located in the heart of the hip Lan Kwai Fong neighbourhood of Hong Kong. The boutique hotel is elegantly decorated with ancient furniture, artwork, and Chinese antiques and its high-floor rooms provide extraordinary views of Hong Kong harbour and city.

Chinese antiques and design, the essence of Hong Kong

Opened in 2006, the Lan Kwai Fong hotel was actually Hong Kong's first boutique hotel. Located in the most vibrant and bustling area of the city, it perfectly immerses you in the most animated and intriguing neighbourhood of Hong Kong! The Lan Kwai Fong area has preserved its architecture of the sixties and still has a large proportion of low-rise buildings. Its streets are gorged with art galleries, designer shops, and hip bars and the area concentrates Hong Kong's best dining places.

The tone of the hotel is set as you enter the hotel lobby: pure white decoration, ancient wooden furniture, staff dressed in modernly restyled Chinese clothing, and a float of sandalwood scent.

The rooms and suites are dispersed on 33 floors and are carefully decorated in a very contemporary atmosphere and style. This sleek modern style contrasts and emphasizes the Asiatic touches of Chinese artefacts, artworks, or traditional fabrics.

The Tempting Experience: Resonate and vibrate with Hong Kong

We have selected this boutique hotel as it perfectly reflects today's Hong-Kong: a blend of tradition and modernity. The Lan Kwai Fong hotel is a perfect way to experience the mythical city of Hong Kong.

The Lan Kwai Fong hotel values Chinese culture through its decoration, illustrates modernity through its concept design, and immerges guests in Hong Kong's most charming and intriguing neighbourhood through its location!

Hong Kong must do's

Discover Hong Kong differently and take an Architectour:

  • Appreciate the ultra-modernism of the first skyscrapers ... The oldest ones (did you say vintage?) are signed by Louis Sullivan;
  • Do not miss the two IFC buildings (shops and offices) undersigned by Spence Robinson;
  • The Hong Kong Cultural Centre of Kowloon, probably the building with the most controversial architecture, is nevertheless one of the most famous ones.
  • Also stop by the SCBC building, artwork of Norman Foster;
  • and the building of the Bank of china: one of the most important buildings of Hong-Kong.

Make sure to check out the "light fireworks" of the evening, where coloured and rhythmed light animations "dance" from one building to the other. A truly unique and very pretty spectacle.

Other sights to see are:

  • Aberdeen, a fisherman village where traditional fishermen still live on their junks;
  • Kowloon, with its numerous markets (ladies market, goldfish market, jade market);
  • The Happy Valley hippodrome, with frantic horse-races betting;
  • And Causeway Bay, a young and hip neighbourhood

Of course you should also try to pass by The Peak for its staggering view of Hong Kong skyline; Statue Square where colonial and ultramodern architecture rival side-by-side; the Star Ferry for a mythical crossing of Hong Kong to Kowloon; the charming island of Cheung Chau...

Finally and to go out, the Soho and Lan Kwai Fong neighbourhoods are safe bets. But you could also try an evening at the Chinese Opera at the Sunbeam Theatre on North Point.
