A Moorish architecture and stylish host palace

Dar Rhizlane is an Arab-Moorish styled host palace, designed by Charles Boccara, which consists of a main house, the Menzeh, and the charming villa Rayane. It is an airy little little piece of lush green paradise located in the Hivernage district of Marrakech, nearby the Jemaa El Fnaa place and Marrakech's famed medina.

Hidden by the trees of the street, the mysterious building unfolds behind century-old eucalyptuses and an imposing iron gate. The tone is set and welcomes you into a chic and fragrant universe gardens composed of flowers, ponds with water hyacinths, water lilies, papyrus, zellige fountains, roses...

Rooms with a 1001 nights setting

With its lovely house and residence of character, its luxury and refinement, the calmness and the coolness, the rooms, suites and Douiryas of Dar Rhizlane will immerse you in a typical Moroccan interior. Vaults, ocher briquettes walls, and floors with mosaic decorations make for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The names of the rooms evoke women (Aida, Soraya, Leila), legendary heroes (Bilal, Shahine, Marwane), or oriental perfumes (Musk, Sandalwood, Jasmine) and are all reminiscent of the East and its historical roots. Flowers and petals are placed with great finesse and delicacy in the rooms and bathrooms and they tint the air with sweetness and fragrances. Traditional window shutters complete the very cozy atmosphere.

The decoration of the rooms and the common areas is ethno-chic: it successfully mixes local handicrafts with unique objects from other countries and cultures. For example: cedar wooden furniture, Venetian mirrors, stucco carvings, Berber carpets, silk and velvet draping, Moroccan chandeliers...

All rooms have a terrace overlooking the Andalusian garden or flower terrace and are luxuriously equipped with, amongst others, a fireplace and air conditioning. Feel good whatever the weather! The suites have a lounge and more.

The restaurant of the Dar Rhizlane is renowned to be one of the best of Marrakech. Chef Zakia Ait Aboulahcen creates an original cuisine influenced by classic Moroccan undertones. She gives a new impetus to a modern Oriental cuisine. Cooking excellence is a family trait for Zakia Ait Aboulahcen: her mother was the head Chef of the prestigious Palace La Mamounia.

During your meal, you'll surely have the pleasure of meeting Zakia who passes from table to table to talk to her guests and take care of their well-being. At night the dinners are true magical moments, with glittering lanterns, verrines, floating candles and photophores.

A spa will open its doors in 2010. Pending its opening, the massages and treatments are delivered in the privacy of your room.

The Hivernage district of Marrakech

The winter or "Hivernage" district is part of the new town of Marrakesh. It is the prosperous and residential neighborhood and home to many beautiful villas.

The Mohammed VI Avenue is the lungs of the Hivernage district. This broad avenue is very green and hosts the impressive Royal Theater, the Palace of Congress, ans the large new station. The advantage of this area is that it is green, airy, and ventilated and at the same time close to the historical Medina and Place Djelmna El Fna square, the mythical heart of Marrakech!
