In the center of the island of Djerba is a typical white house Tunisian village with Moorish windows, patios, passages, terraces and tinted with light touches of blue. Behind one of these doors you will discover the traditional houses (called Menzel) that make up the Dar Dhiafa.

Courtyard rooms, authenticity, and refinement

The hotel decoration pays tribute to Djerba and its traditions. It features restored antiques and objects that are handcrafted according to ancient techniques and with local natural resources.

The 8 rooms and 6 suites are all unique and open onto a shaded patio or onto one of the small pools. Delicate interiors unfold behind the heavy and carved wooden doors. Small details in the decoration make up the comfort and authenticity. Each room is an invitation to travel and carries evoking names such as Jasmine, Kalifa, Sultan, Ebony Horse, House of the Poet, Moon Smile...

All rooms are either equipped with a large wrought iron bed or a "Dokan" (traditional stage) under a dome.

In the evening, Dar Dhiafa relives the magic of 1001 nights when the pools lights and when the patio lights up with colorful small lanterns.

In the heart of Djerba

Near Dar Dhiafa, you can visit the synagogue of El Ghriba. Built in 586 BC, it is one of the oldest synagogues in the world. Its ceiling is completely painted.

North of the island's capital is Houmt Souk, a fishing port with many souks and adorable picturesque small houses.

To the east of Djerba is a superb 27 hole golf course.
